Endovascular repair of the thoracic aortic aneurysm (TEVAR) is a minimally invasive method of treating dissections and aneurysmal diseases of the thoracic aorta.

Prosthesis is inserted endovascularly into the aorta under regional anesthesia through a small incision in the groin.

This procedure enables excluding the damaged segment of the aorta from the circulation and prevents its further stratification or rupture.

It is necessary to meet certain anatomical criteria, and in some cases a previous operation is required to translocate the left subclavian artery, in order to safely place the endovascular prosthesis.

Postoperative recovery is relatively short and the patient is discharged from the hospital after a few days. Regular angiographic examinations are mandatory.
